About the role


The UK Medical Lead will be the responsible for delivering an excellent standard of medical care across HeliosX brands by managing day to day running of service, the clinical governance calendar and working closely with other digital teams to deliver fast and effective care.

Reporting to our Medical Director, this is a unique opportunity to be part of the clinical engine of one of Europe's leading telemedicine/healthtech businesses.


What you'll be doing

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all clinical governance activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines. Liaising with leads in other geographies (such as the USA, where appropriate).
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to clinical operations on matters related to patient safety.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of all clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the digital health sector, incorporating relevant insights into Helios X service delivery.
  • Conduct monthly audits and assessments to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and performance across Helios X brands, identifying areas for improvement and optimization to be presented at monthly quality meeting.
  • Mentor clinical operations teams to ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducing training for our pharmacy and customer care team
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration within the medical and clinical operations teams.
  • Liaising with specialists (e.g Dermatologists, Endocrinologists) to integrate conditionspecific knowledge into pathways as required.
  • Collaborating with the product team to integrate medical insights and requirements into the development and enhancement of digital health products and services.
  • Work closely with the digital teams (growth, product, marketing) to develop and execute strategies that drive user engagement, retention, and satisfaction through clinically informed approaches.

What you'll bring to HeliosX

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with full GMC registration and licence to practise in the UK.
  • Significant experience working in clinical practice (>7 years), preferably with exposure to digital health or telemedicine.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management in healthcare settings, with a focus on clinical governance, quality improvement, and service excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills: a communicator with the ability to convey complex medical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
  • Teamwork: a collaborative team player with the capacity to build strong relationships and influence crossfunctional stakeholders.
  • Patientcentric: someone committed to upholding ethical principles, patientcentred care, and continuous professional development.
