DISCOVER your opportunity

At AXA XL our operations teams as part of the Middle Office division are at the centre of our insurance organisation.

We look for innovative and creative individuals to join our experienced and professional colleagues, who strive to challenge and continually look at how to improve the way we do things, taking ownership and leading their own development and career opportunities.

We offer flexibility with our smart working initiative, combing working from home and from our Ipswich office, or attending our London office from time to time.

Our culture fosters collaboration, customer service and colleague development.

There really is potential to have so much variation in Middle Office if you want it as part of your career, and to develop skills in a lot of different areas too, the industry in which we work in Insurance or Reinsurance, the IT Systems we operate to manage our business, through to Project, Process or Change Management type disciplines.

You will be based in our newly refurbished Ipswich office; however we are excited to be implementing our Smart Working initiative in the coming months offering a hybrid way of working, combining both remote and office working.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Utilise existing Cognos (Late Premium) reports to identify risks which meet the required criteria for NOC issuance (specified days past due date, presence of a relevant cancellation clause for nonpayment within the Market Reform Contract / slip and nil paid)
  • Structured engagement and liaison with UK & Lloyd's Underwriting Assistants regarding issuance and, where applicable, with the relevant UK & Lloyd's Underwriter to ensure visibility of risks falling under the Underwriter's remit where AXA XL have issued Notice of Cancellation. Also dialogue around expiring / expired NOC's
  • Updating the Premium Accounting System (the Frame for Syndicate business and Genius for company business) and internal NOC Monitor Tracker to reflect the Notice of Cancellation having been issued (including recording of the date the NOC is due to expire) and uploading supporting documentation (a copy of the NOC letter) to the source system (the Frame or Diva / Documentum for Genius)
  • Monitoring and actioning incoming requests from UK brokers in response to Notices of Cancellation issued by AXA XL. These will typically be either advice that premium has been paid and requesting confirmation the Notice of Cancellation is therefore rescinded or requests for an extension due to the fact the broker is not in receipt of client funds (the latter aspect is an area we are looking to tighten controls around)
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships and correspondence clients both internally and externally
You will report to the UK Credit Control & TQM Manager.
