An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the existing Oncology team in Lincolnshire, who are a motivated, energetic and committed team providing high quality services to a largely rural population.
The Position:
Locum Consultant in Medical Oncology covering Lung, Testicular, Kidney and Prostate.
This post has been assessed as attracting 10 basic PA's per week plus additional programmed activities by separate negotiation, as well as a 1:11on call.
You will be joining a team of 13 Consultants providing comprehensive Oncology services to the 750,000 strong population of Lincolnshire.
ULHT has a comprehensive range of radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments at Lincoln County Hospital, with chemotherapy also provided at Pilgrim Hospital (Boston) and Grantham and District Hospital.
In addition we have a Mobile chemotherapy unit (MCU) that delivers chemotherapy to eligible patients in Louth, Grantham and Skegness.
Out-Patient clinics are provided at Lincoln County Hospital and Pilgrim Hospital Boston.
Outpatient clinics are undertaken via virtual clinics using Attend Anywhere Software where possible and we are currently piloting virtual wards rounds, so there are opportunities to be able to work from home at certain times/days.
Other lead roles are available as part of the post such as Lead for Chemotherapy, Clinical Governance, Tumour site and Clinical Lead.
You will be supported by 4 Specialty Doctors, 3 trainee Doctors along with, 2 Advanced Clinical Practitioners and 3 Clinical Nurse Specialists.
