Salary:
£30,840 to £33,597 per annum


The purpose of the role:
Our Client are looking to recruit a full time Service Coordinator in Edinburgh.

As Service Coordinator in a very busy Recovery Hub, they require to have good alcohol and drugs knowledge, risk assessment, adult protection, and safeguarding knowledge.

We work alongside Social Work and NHS Nurse team, psychologist, and Consultant Psychiatrist.

Service Coordinators have to quality check staff referral to NHS for prescribing so need a knowledge and understanding of medication assisted treatment and criteria for problematic drug and alcohol use.

We have taken on a lot of new staff coaching and support new staff assessments care plans etc and to develop their knowledge of addictions.

They need to have experience leading and line managing a team as will be providing supervision for 6 to 8 staff.


Responsibilities:


  • To provide services on an individual or a group work basis, and carry a case load, as required.
  • Work in line with and promoting the SSSC Codes of Practice and the relevant Care Standards.
  • Deliver or oversee key work for a person or people who have complex or multiple needs.
  • Manage staff to advise people we support in accordance with the service aims.
  • Be responsible for both directly undertaking initial and ongoing assessments of people we support and overseeing team members to do so.
  • Support and assist people who are in crisis situations, and/or manage physical risk or behaviour likely to cause incidents in accordance with the support plan or service protocol.
Experience/Skills

  • Must have completed an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or HNC in Health and Social Care (or other specialty recognised by the SSSC for registration purposes)
  • Current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council or Social Work England or equivalent (with the agreement to register with the SSSC).
  • Relevant experience Alcohol and Drug Recovery.
  • Accreditation in LS/CMI is required.
  • Experience as a manager/Team Leader.
