A growing aerospace design and engineering service provider that develops aircraft engines are looking for a highly organised and motivated Part Time Office Manager to support their growing team of engineers and to ensure the smooth and efficient runningof the office on a day-to-day basis.

Reporting to the Managing Director your duties will include:

  • Manage daily correspondence and communication
  • Assure all office files and documents are kept up to date, develop and implement office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office, track office productivity, etc.
  • Maintaining existing financial system, daily processing of transactions
  • Aid the US accounts team with all matters relating to UK accounts
  • Being responsible for all staff expenses (mileage, travel etc.)
  • Support payroll process
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase requisitions and purchase orders, support supplier management, support inventory control
  • Ensure the office and workshop are kept in good order and maintained as required
  • Provide support to the Quality team in the German office and ensure that the UK office is compliant with quality requirements and health and safety policies
  • Support recruitment, coordination of new hires and their onboarding; manage intern and graduate recruitment programmes
  • Support in the management of staff performance reviews and improvement plans, manage HR policies, maintain employee files, manage employee benefit schemes
  • Manage holiday and sick leave
As the Office Manager you will have prior experience in administration, office management & accounting. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, be self-motivated, trustworthy and flexible.


This is a part time role, and in return you will be offered a salary of between £28,000 - £33,000 (pro rata) based on experience.


Working hours will be 25 hours a week which would develop into 40 hours a week as the company grows.

Attendance every day is required, preferably 5 hours per day but can be flexible and work different hours per day.

You will benefit from 25 days holiday days plus stats (pro-rata based on 40 hours a week).

7 paid sick days annually (pro-rata on 40 hours a week) plus a 5% contribution on top of salary into pension scheme, private health insurance, and income protection.
