The organisation is now moving to the next stage in developing its e-learning offering and is launching a new programme of training on the Moodle Workplace Learning Management System.

We are looking for an experienced Digital Learning Manager in a pivotalnew role that has the potential to have a significant impact on the delivery of our strategy to support the continuing professional development of infection control specialists.

Location:
London/hybrid (Monday and Wednesday onsite in Bloomsbury office, the rest of the week working from home)


Hours:
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week


Salary:
£37-42K dependent on experience


Contract:
Fixed term 24-month contract with possibility of a permanent role

The Role


We have an exciting new opportunity to join our enthusiastic, committed and engaged team of staff, committees and 1,300 members who are experts in the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections.


The Digital Learning Manager will join a small, engaged staff team to support the planning and delivery of the online events and training programme and take overall responsibility for management and content development for the new Learning Management Platform(LMS), Moodle Workplace.

As this is a new role, the appointment will be made on a fixed term 24-month contract with the possibility of a permanent role after 24 months.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Online event management
  • Supporting the Head of Membership and Professional Development in the planning and delivery of a programme of live online events and on demand content.
  • E-Learning platform management and course design, development, delivery and assessment
  • Assuming overall responsibility for management of Moodle Workplace and the creation of course content using authoring tools.

About You


As Digital Learning Manager you will have degree level education (or equivalent) or relevant proven work experience of managing and delivering successful online events and resources.


You will also have:

  • Knowledge of course design
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Working knowledge of elearning technology and SCORM authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and eLearning platforms such as Moodle Workplace


Whilst not essential,, working with health professionals, running meetings and webinars in Zoom or a similar platform and event programme development would be an advantage in this role.

The team of nine members of staff work to a hybrid model, spending two days per week (Monday and Wednesday) in the beautiful new offices in Bloomsbury, London, and the remainder of the working week from home.

Working to a flexible model with a generous annualleave allowance of 30 days per year, you will also benefit from an early finish at the end of the week, as the working week finishes at 16:00 on Fridays.

About the Organisation


The Society is a membership organisation whose objectives are to advance knowledge, foster scientific interest, and disseminate information about the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs).

Members are drawn largely from the medicalprofession and are predominantly consultant microbiologists and doctors enrolled on an infection specialty training programme.

Nurses, clinical scientists, research scientists and others with a demonstrable professional interest in HCAIs are also a vital partof the membership network.
