Job Summary

Following the installation of a new Digital Press - we are the only company in the UK to have this exciting piece of equipment - and internal reallocation of resources to meet the production needs of this growing area of our business, we are looking for two experienced Packaging Machine or Flexo Print Operators to join our corrugated cardboard manufacturing team at Schumacher Packaging in Birmingham.

All applicants MUST have proven machine setting experience, cutting and creasing preferably, be willing to work as part of our fantastic team and have a strong work ethic.

Previous team leader/team manager experience would be an advantage.

These roles work a rotating double day shift, Monday to Friday, so applicants must be able to commit to working on a rotating shift pattern.

Additional tasks/responsibilities:

To work with and operate machinery and processing equipment to required quality procedures, ensuring customer expectations are always met.
Follow hygiene and cleanliness requirements across the production environment.
To comply with Company Health and Safety rules and procedures to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner.
To maintain plant and equipment in good order and report any defects for corrective action.
