Database Administrator at MRM Global:

MRM Global is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our Engineering department.

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases to ensure their reliability and performance.


  • Design, implement, and maintain databases
  • Monitor database performance and optimize for maximum efficiency
  • Ensure data security and integrity
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate data from various sources
As Database Administrator at MRM Global you will be responsible for

  • Installing, configuring, maintaining both MSSQL and Postgres databases.
  • Manage the backup, testing and recovery of the database periodically
  • Liase with the architecture group to define and implement a database scaling strategy
  • Liase with the architecture group to define and implement a wider storage strategy encompassing, file, NOSQL and SQL storage
  • Ensure maximium uptime of databases both SQL and NoSQL
  • Maintain security and patches across both SQL, NoSQL and File Storage
  • Work with the development teams to optimize the data storage layer
  • Mentor and advise developers on tuning and performance improvements
  • Work with architecture group and existing partners to create and implement a data strategy


Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our team of knowledgeable Software Engineers, Testers, and Product Team in creating innovative software solutions.

A project that you can expect to work on is the consolidation of multiple cloud services into one provider.


What you will bring;

  • 4+ years' experience of database administration in a webbased environment
  • Experience in the Microsoft tech stack
  • Knowledge querying, optimizing SQL Server and Postgres
  • Knowledge of latest database techniques such as versioning, deploying, on demand etc in cloud environments
  • Knowledge of Entity Framework
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, testers, architects and the Product Team
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problemsolving abilities
  • Desire to continue to grow professional capabilities with ongoing training and educational opportunities

Not essential, it would be a bonus if you have;

  • Experience working for a highgrowth company
