About you
We are currently seeking a Site Inspector to join our highly successful Building Safety Team.

As a Site Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are carried out safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with the project team and stakeholders to inspect works, identify any issues or non-compliance, and provide recommendations for corrective measures.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and health and safety requirements
  • Measuring and quality checking building materials, identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct them
  • Learning to use Field View and executing the above functions using the Field View software provided
  • Keeping detailed records of work including photographs, showing measurements where applicable
  • Identify and report any defects, noncompliance, legal and ecological or health and safety risks
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to the project team
  • Monitor construction progress and quality of workmanship, reporting to construction managers, architects and clients
  • Support the project management team in resolving any siterelated issues or challenges
  • Attend site meetings and contribute to project progress discussions
  • Any other duties as reasonably required of the role.

Requirements:


  • Extensive experience working in a supervisory role in construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse quality or performance, identify potential issues or noncompliance
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use your initiative, but also the awareness to verify with others when appropriate
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel to different construction sites as required
