Legal team servicing Hanson Plc corporate legacy matters, corporate finance projects (Project Pegasus) and full Legal / Co Sec department.
Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role
Legal Executive Assistant to Head of Legal (Director).
Everyday support to the legal director - meetings, documents, agendas, financing projects and international cases, with additional support to Co Sec / Project Pegasus and also to corporate compliance as needed.
Admin support, diary, US (legacy litigation) travel, related Group reporting & for CEO / PowerPoint / fortnightly meetings for corporate/ Hanson legal team, related correspondence and execution (signature processes and diligence if needed) on related matters.
_Mission & role of the function_
Legal Executive Assistant; or Legal Executive; of PPA (Paralegal PA).
Must have experience in legal depts.
/ solicitors firms as legal exec / LEA / paralegal and be willing to be adaptable and work in law environment.
Train as Super User in I-Manage / Worksite platform - management of orderly files and relevant archives.Support on relevant entity board governance and board decisions and minutes.
Regular access to externals and retrieve from / dispatch back to relevant legacy archives, documents retrieval to and from archives, circulation for due diligence and board meetings and other legacy matters / historic matters.
Support due diligence processes / components as directed by Head of Legal.
Arrange relevant Pegasus board meetings, successful logistics arrangements in Outlook and interface diary management of Head of Legal with closings and completions, ensure stakeholders (also overseas external and non-UK Boards meet project timings).
With support also for Senior Counsel / Company Solicitor.
Prepare and issues any related reporting / updates / presentations (power point) on legacy project matters (related diary management and power point presentations for team and Group).
Weekly calls / diary briefings to Head of Legal and throughout week as required on Pegasus admin and legacy (US) legacy litigation matters.
US / Hanson Plc legacy Litigation - assist and executive support to Head of Legal for logistics and timings, depositions dates, access to data room[s], production of documents and production and director circulation of files, manage site, liaison with witnesses and external counsel, case timetable milestones, supporting logístical arrangements for Head of Legal (if any); management of archiving and corporate retrievals for litigation, arrange expert meetings.

Skills:
positive 'can do' Attitude - team and legal work, helping others on above matters.
Experience as legal PA / legal secretary but with responsibility for items of administration.
Communication:
verbal, accuracy and precise detail - essential for working with corporate and lawyers
Daily briefings with head of legal on Department diary.
Precise - on legal and corporate cases.
Work proactively and have good time management skills.
