Description

We are seeking to appoint a passionate digital creative with a vibrant and expressive motion graphics and video portfolio, and a passion for telling stories across digital platforms, to join the St George's External Relations, Communications and Marketing (ERCM) team in an exciting new creative role.


You will capture video footage using both professional grade cameras and mobile phones and then work in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to tell the story of our students and bring to life the University's exciting new visual identity refresh, through both video and motion graphics production.


With excellent interpersonal skills and a drive for finding and telling compelling stories you will work collaboratively across the University and with the wider design and digital teams to identify, storyboard, film and animate bold, vibrant and authentic content.


With a passion for social platforms, and a great understanding of the varied people that use them, the work you create will be shared across our current and burgeoning social media and digital platforms, bringing life to previously static content and generating new audiences for the University.


Further to this you will work with the Design and Digital teams to support their projects, as well as supporting the wider staff community across the University in delivering professional online and hybrid content on MS Teams.


Key attributes of the successful applicant include:

  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating motion graphics skills in both Adobe After Effects and video filming and editing in Premiere Pro
  • Proactive, collaborative and engaging, with the ability to communicate well to broad audiences and a keenness to seek out stories and bring them to light
  • Excellent knowledge of social media and emerging digital platforms and how best to reach new audiences on each
  • Experience working within a marketing environment to drive engagement and build audiences
  • A background of working within a corporate visual identity
