Job description

  • The School of Psychology at Queen's University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a Research Fellow to work with the Stress Trauma and Related Conditions (STARC) research centre alongside a productive team of researchers working in the field of psychological trauma and mental health.
  • The post holder will manage data administration and preparation for a casecontrol study of psychological risk and resilience factors for traumatic stress in Colombia. They will conduct research across a broad array of research topics pertaining to psychological trauma and mental health, and assist in the creation of peerreviewed outputs and academic reports.
  • The post holder will be provided with opportunities to build their own research capacity and research interests through training opportunities and through collaborations with senior academic colleagues regionally, nationally and internationally through the established research networks of Professor Armour and colleagues at Queen's University Belfast.
  • Relevant research experience.
  • Experience of having worked with multidisciplinary teams involved in research.
  • Evidence of quantitative data administration and analysis using statistical platforms such as R.
  • Demonstrable understanding of issues with data confidentiality/security/data sharing.
  • Project management experience preferably in an academic setting.
  • Previous experience of presenting research nationally and/or internationally.
  • A peer reviewed publication record commensurate with career stage
