We are seeking a Support Officer to join a busy, professional and committed team who provide administrative support and promote the research and innovation activity of the University internally and externally.

Based in Research and Innovation Services you will provide operational support to various aspects of the department's activities with a specific emphasis on marketing and communication.


Research and Innovation Services is a central function which enables the University to deliver high quality research and innovation to create social and economic impact.

The activity that we are involved in is varied:

from providing support to researchers undertaking fundamental research, building relationships with external organisations to deliver new products and services, creating opportunities for the university to lead economic growth in the region, supporting CPD and running four Innovation Centres.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Support Officer to work as part of the Operations Team to help the department reach its goals.

The post is offered on a part-time (up to 0.7 FTE), fixed-term basis; working pattern negotiable and hybrid working available.
