Service Asset & Configuration Manager
£60-70k + benefits

London / Remote

Leading professional services company is actively recruiting for a Service Asset & Configuration Manager to manage the lifecycle of IT assets and configuration items, as well as the processes that ensure the content and quality of data recorded in the ServiceAsset and Configuration Management databases (CMDB) meet the required standards.

This will involve assisting in the creation of a bespoke CMDB based on Service Now. This will involve close collaboration with 3rd party suppliers and the service Delivery/Support Team.

This is NOT a technical role, more process oriented and requires someone from a hardware asset background who knows their way around CMDBs specifically Service Now.

This role will deal with the data/process around multiple streams of hardware assets - laptops, screens etc (peripherals) and ensuring data is protected around leavers / joiners.

The successful Service Asset & Configuration Manager needs to have managed assets within Service Now in the past and will be responsible for defining the service asset and configuration management plan - define what the policy is and how the process willwork.

Essential experience for the position ofService Asset & Configuration Manager

You will need to understand how the ServiceNow platform underpins the Service Asset & Configuration Management process and how, in turn, this enables all other processes to operate effectively. This is the key to unlocking the value of ServiceNow and itsspecialised CMDB module.
Demonstrable knowledge of the operation and management of a CMDB.
Demonstrable knowledge of using ServiceNow.
Deep understanding of IT Service Management processes (ITIL) and how Configuration Management underpins these.
Extensive experience of working in a Configuration Management lead role.
Experience of implementing integrations within ServiceNow platform.
ITIL Foundation Certificate.
Comfortable with reading, understanding & managing Price books, SLAs, Contractual agreements & monitoring their effectiveness.
Proven experience of managing an IT Hardware budget and associated procurement knowledge
