Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a Harrogate based client who are looking to recruit an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their Head Office team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has either just started CIMA / ACCA or is c12-18 months into their studies.

The role is extremely commercial and you will be involved in working closely with depot teams and partnering non finance colleagues, so our client is looking for someone who is resilient with excellent communication skills.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Analysing and reviewing of expenditure within the business unit

Preparing and providing support to the business unit of weekly forecasts
Monthly & weekly reporting of KPI's & performance of the business unit
Reviewing and supporting in tender submission
First point of contact for management for financial queries
Taking ownership of several depots in the network through the month end process
Month end reporting on network performance to senior management
Ensuring financial processes are followed across the network
Assisting with capex submission
Handling of data requests and analysis from senior management
Ensuring invoicing is done in a timely manner
Balance sheet preparation

Requirements:

PQ / new studier, ideally CIMA / ACCA
Ambitious and not afraid to challenge non finance colleagues across the business
Excellent analysis skills
Ideally a full driving license as this role will involve travel to different sites
