As a member of our highly motivated Marine team, you will work closely with the Marine Manager to ensure vessel and equipment availability, maintenance plans and day to day deckhand needs.
You will ensure safe working practices, wearing appropriate PPE, and giving toolbox talks when required.It is essential that you have a minimum Navigational Watch Certificate, full STCW qualifications and a valid ENG1 medical certificate.
You will be supported to work towards further qualifications and skills as required by the Company. A full, clean driving licence is required to move between premises.
You will need to adapt to different working patterns when business needs require it, including working some evenings & weekends and an on-call rota.
Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities are essential, along with the ability to build relationships with contractors and suppliers. We are looking for someone with a positive, flexible, can-do attitude, and a desire to learn and improve.
For the Supervisor's role we would expect a minimum of 2 year's deck experience and ideally proven experience of managing people.
You will be familiar with preparing and delivering toolbox talks and be able to perform dynamic risk assessments at sea, providing effective and clear communication between the deck and the Bridge.
You will also be strong at prioritising tasks to meet key deadlines, using resources effectively to achieve results.Job Types:
