JOB PURPOSE:

The Data Steward will work closely with the Master Data team and Data Solutions to ensure that data relating to Vendors is of the required integrity and quality.

The Data Steward will be responsible for driving the creation and improvement of the necessary processes and procedures to ensure that all data meets the expected quality, integrity & timeliness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ownership of the endtoend product data creation and update process (including vendor information records).
  • Indepth appreciation of the product lifecycle and market calendar, supporting all corporate, regions, wholesale and retail teams on all aspects of product data on SAP.
  • First point of contact for divisions for the material master data updates.
  • Ensuring all associated team reference documentation is kept up to date.
  • Ensuring data is extracted promptly and kept up to date between PLM systems & SAP.
  • Addressing any errors in data transfer process with either IT or other business teams and divisions.
  • Responsible for Data integrity and consistency in SAP within divisions' areas.
  • Keeping up to date with the divisions' activities and critical path each season and review market dates that affect BI Data team.
  • Defining and supporting all procedures around the create, amend and delete of product data.
  • Report on data integrity, data accuracy and data completeness across systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of PLM systems and SAP product data and attributes.
  • Support other team members during peak periods, and other adhoc activities.
  • To be a strong and well respected ambassador for the BI Data department.

PERSONAL PROFILE:

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Management/ Data Steward
  • Vendor Data experience Supply/Chain experience desirable
  • Luxury Retail Industry experience beneficial
  • SAP/ERP Experience

Skills:


  • Experience of working in a data stewardship role and driving process efficiency and data quality / standards
  • Previous experience SAP and/or other central data systems is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information succinctly and concisely
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels across the business
