We have an exciting opportunity for a End of Line Operative to join our team

The rate of pay for this role is
£11.82 per hour.


The shift pattern is
4 days per week -
Monday to Thursday (40 hours per week) on the double days shift: 5AM till 3PM one week and 2PM till 12AM the next week.

The purpose of the Production Operative role


To work as part of a team, manufacturing raw materials to produce qualify finished foods in a safe and efficient manner in line with business demands.


Under the direction of the Shift Manager and Supervisor you will be responsible for operating a range of packaging machinery as part of a production cell; striving to achieve production targets and being flexible within your approach to work.


Key Responsibilities

Health and Safety

  • To contribute and work as part of a safetyfirst culture, adhering to all safe working practices, policies, and procedures
  • Adhere to all regulations and standards surrounding company issue PPE
  • To offer a meaningful and positive attitude towards the departments aims and targets on Health and Safety standards, including hazard reporting and contributing to safety inspection tours.

Technical/Quality

  • To ensure compliance to food safety and quality standards, supporting and displaying the right firsttime approach at the End of Line.
  • To promote and support an audit ready ethos and always have a presentable working area
  • Ensure any quality or food safety issues within any part of the manufacturing process are reported via the correct escalation procedure and to take immediate corrective action where required
  • To ensure the correct information is present on the product as per customer and Business expectations.

People

  • To be part of the one Finlay's ethos of always supporting all colleagues
  • To promote a working environment and culture that contributes to the work force meeting the demands of the business
  • To support and be a support for the colleagues on the Line.

Manufacturing

  • To support the Production operators and Line leaders in achieving the daily targets.
  • To be responsible for the end of line product and a last line of defence against quality issues.
  • To be flexible in the approach to working across site and machines (End of Line) in order to meet the needs of the Site.

  • To support and show a positive mindset on Continuous improvement projects with inn the Business.
