Starting Salary:

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract:
Permanent

You will be joining the team as an Estates Administrator at an exciting time as we undertake our latest strategic review.

Your role will provide support to all members of the team to ensure we can deliver on the objectives and become a truly sustainable rural estate.

We are a team of 13 who are responsible for the management of the County Council's 10,000+ acres of rural property assets spread across Hertfordshire.

You will sit in a supportive team where there will be great opportunities to learn, but you will have the responsibility of being the key contact for tenants, members of the public, contractors, consultants and provide support to all Rural Estates team members.

Your work will be both interesting and rewarding with no two days the same.

Your focus will be the administrative property management work such as raising invoices and purchase orders, keeping databases up to date, instructing and co-ordinating minor repairs, managing statutory compliance, debt management, tenant liaison and much more.

The successful applicant will have a great opportunity to learn on the job and be pushed outside their comfort zone.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Rural Estate team as the Estate enters its exciting next phase with the implementation of the new strategic plan to ensure it continues to thrive in these changing times.

The role will offer true work diversity, where you will have to think on your feet and problem solve and no two days are the same.

Along with the rest of the team you will help to manage a host of unique property lettings, with everything from dairy and arable farms, woodlands and a country park to golf courses, a rural shopping village, an MOT service station and a brewery.

Although the team's office base is Hertford and you will be expected to come in 1 day a week, we actively encourage flexible and remote working.

We offer you a generous annual leave entitlement (27 days, with opportunities to purchase 5 extra days).

We have a flexible working policy which, within reason and in line with business needs, allows you to work the 37 hours to suit you and also build up additional hours to take as a day's leave, however we are also happy to explore flexible working arrangements such as condensed hours.

We do have other roles available within the team so for an informal discussion or to ask any questions about your suitability please do not hesitate to contact Emma Chapman on
