Mechanical Design Engineer

£45,000 Per Annum

Hawarden

Days Only (Mon-Fri)
gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Design Engineer to work at their facility based near Hawarden

Performance Objectives

Interpret customer requirements, translate design specifications, satisfy any layout and technical requirements, and observe cost constraints to fully meet customer needs in the most effective way within specified timescales
Use CAD to produce technical plans and work with prototypes
Collect and analyse data and produce detail reports for management and clients
Produce designs against customer requirements
Support delivery of projects
Liaise with clients and understand client needs
Produce detailed drawings for manufacture
Propose alternative fitforuse products in cooperation with quality and production
Manage and facilitate input into complex projects
Deal correctly with financial data in conjunction with Project Team/Manager

Person Specification

Educated to Degree level or equivalent in relevant Engineering/Engineering Design discipline
Practical background
Proven track record in a similar environment
Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD
Excellent IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
