Freightserve are looking to recruit a ATF Transport Planer to work a Monday - Friday 10pm - 6.30am Night Shift.

The company is a major Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.

To co-ordinate both freight retrieval and deliveries from and to Airline sheds / Handling Agents both efficiently and accurately with full customs legislation compliance, by ensuring effective planning and utilisation of the Fleet and day to day managementof drivers.

This will include full responsibility of process in its entirety, from initial raising of Import collection order, co-ordinate / despatch to driver, unload vehicle once freight retrieved, set Status1 back in shed, raise discrepancy / damage reports.

Liaise at all times with colleagues within Import, Transport & Warehouse Departments.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Handling Import documentation
ERTS Record creation***:
Provide delivery paperwork to drivers for all deliveries and complete daily run sheet for driver routes.
Deal with driver related issues and problems in a professional manner at all times
Unloading and checking goods into the warehouse
Damage reporting / claim reporting
ERTS compliance / status 1 setting
ERTS and IATA Bond Check Management
T1 discharging
Loading goods onto delivery vehicles for Export consignments
Undertake any other transport warehouse related duties that may be assigned, including covering for other members of the transport team as required
Present yourself in a professional and approachable manner
Be a good communicator with colleagues and management
Comply with site rules at all times to ensure best practice
Follow Health and Safety rules and be alert to any issues at all time

Your skills and experience

Minimum of 2 years' Experience in an International Air Freight Forwarding environment
Fully conversant with all aspects of ERTS freight / transfer
Excellent written & verbal communication skills (at all levels)
Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
Previous warehouse experience preferred (but not essential)
MHE Counter Balance/Reach/PPT certification preferred (but not essential)
Attention to detail & excellent record keeping
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team is essential
Ability to work to demanding deadlines
