If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant with SEN (Special Educational Needs) experience to join a primary school in Blackburn.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive learning environment for children aged 3 to 5 years.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering highquality educational activities tailored to the specific needs of children with SEN.
- Supporting individual students with their learning and personal development, ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed.
- Collaborating with the teaching team to create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Promoting a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of all students.
- Working closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure effective communication and support for children with SEN.
The requirements for this role are:
- GCSE English & Maths
- Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children
- Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
