Riverside Education is an OFSTED rated 'Outstanding' Independent School that caters for students aged 14-19 with Special Education Needs and Challenging Behaviour.
We wish to appoint a confident, friendly, committed, and organised receptionist/attendance officer.The Attendance Officer and Receptionist has a key role to play in the school as the first point of contact for students, their parents and visitors alike.
The post holder must be professional, well-organised, proactive, welcoming and knowledgeable about the school.The main duties include but are not limited to:
- Welcoming all visitors, have visitors sign in, provide them with safeguarding and fire evacuation information.
- Safeguarding aware: Ensure that all visitors to site are accompanied and remain with a member of staff while on the premises and safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Day to day running of the School Reception taking calls and dealing with enquiries. Behaviour management and pastoral care is integral to keeping reception clear and friendly
- Daily record keeping such as logging student absences, attendance reports, lunch orders etc.
- Attendance take calls for absences, follow absence procedures and updating attendance records in line with the DfE attendance guidance Liaise with parents, students and stakeholders for student missing from school.
- Ordering school resources and monitoring deliveries and distribution to staff.
- Maintaining purchase invoices and finance spreadsheets
- Preparing standard letters and other documents
- Organising and distributing the school diary
- First Aid: Administering basic first aid to staff, students and visitors. Training will be provided. Communicating with parents and stakeholders should injury or illness occur.
- Assisting with the evacuation of the school in the event of a fire or other emergency in the role of Fire Marshall.
- Assisting members of the Senior Leadership Team and fellow staff to ensure that the daytoday activities of the school run smoothly.
- Assisting teaching staff with administrative tasks at busy periods such as enquiries, stationery and photocopying.
- Flexibility to support other teams at the discretion of your line manager and as may be required by the Head.

Salary:
£21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
