We are looking to appoint a GCSE English Lecturer - 0.7 FTE (Maternity Cover) to join our team based at our Matthew Boulton College.


We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and flexible lecturer to deliver GCSE English Language, Functional Skills English and some Digital Skills, building upon present innovative methods of delivery and assessment to support learners in making progress in their skills, knowledge and behaviours.


Our teachers are expected to use innovative methods of delivery to effectively implement the curriculum intent, establishing starting points and tracking learners' progress, recording this effectively, and liaising with colleagues and college management to ensure all learners progress and achieve.


The role will involve working with a range of directorates to develop delivery of English for students on study programmes, along with teaching adults on stand-alone courses.

Lecturers will assess and internally quality assure summative assessment according to Awarding Organisation procedures.
