An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shared Service Centre Officer to join our Revenues, Benefits and Customer Contacts team.

The team contains a mixture of full time and part time officers.

The role include responsibility for the administration and collection of Business Rates, Council Tax and Sundry Debts, providing advice and support to our internal and external customers.

You must have previous practical experience and a proven track record of working in a Revenues, Benefits or Customer Contacts environment and be proficient in one of the following disciplines:


  • Business Rates Billing and Collection
  • Council Tax Billing and Collection
  • Sundry Debts administration
  • Housing Benefits/ Council Tax Reduction
  • East Staffordshire Customer Services
and have relevant knowledge of or more of the above disciplines.


East Staffordshire offer a hybrid working model, allowing the flexibility for staff to split their time between homeworking and office and work generically across the service.


We are looking for a highly motivated officer that is capable of working independently and as part of a team.

You must be able to demonstrate your ability to work successfully in a Revenues, Benefits and Customer Contacts workplace, and be able to interact effectively with internal and external customers in a challenging environment.

We are currently recruiting for 2 full time permanent (37 hours per week) officers, but will consider applicants wishing to work job share or part time hours.
