Description
Our Hampshire based, family-run business is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable book keeper who is proficient with XERO and office software.
Proven book keeping experience, organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative is essential.Working with the Finance Director your responsibilities will be:
- Using XERO to record purchase invoices, carry out bank reconciliations, monthly statements from suppliers and online payments.
- Using Brightpay to run monthly Payroll.
- Using Xero for preparation and submission of timely VAT returns
- Preparing appropriate schedules and reports as requested by Directors and Accountants, up to a trial balance.
- Monthly management accounts
- Solid understanding of book keeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll returns.
- Handson experience with spreadsheets and XERO software
- Handson experience with Brightpay payroll software
- Handson experience with NEST pension submissions and regulations
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- A qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- To be honest, discreet and trustworthy.
- Have your own transport for travel to Farringdon, Hampshire.
