ROLE SUMMARY


The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting routine/non-routine testing and sampling in order to ensure good management of Quality at Dunbar Plant.

This role is responsible for accurate analysis within the statutory legislation and the internal company Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental standards.

The successful applicant will be responsible for following procedures/risk assessments for sampling, sample preparation, running standards/analysis & laboratory equipment operation


Responsibilities:


  • Sample unit operations & cement mills inline with Quality Control Plan.
  • Conduct routine inprocess sample preparation & testing in line with Quality Control Plan.
  • Conduct adhoc sampling/testing of raw materials & inprocess materials at request of Quality Department.
  • Perform routine testing on backup equipment to ensure 100% uptime of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain laboratory Housekeeping standards as per the laboratory cleaning schedule.
  • Perform baseline Laboratory equipment maintenance as per defined maintenance schedule & user guides.
  • Ensure all inprocess data is present & accurate within Knowledge Manager during their shift.
  • Ensure effective handover process is followed to next shift Laboratory Process Operator
  • Proactive approach to Health & Safety and to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Effective communication with control room operators of completion of inprocess testing program to allow process changes to be made efficiently.
  • Liaise with Laboratory Supervisor at daily handover to highlight laboratory and equipment issues as required.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a process operator or in a similar role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

£40,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
