Key Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Development and management of the marketing plan and production with the Investment Marketing Manager, be involved in budgeting, and managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets managed.
  • Contribute to our distribution strategy
  • Day to day management and delivery of the marketing requirements for Horizon Funds and The Adviser Centre and all their propositions, liaising directly with business stakeholders, proposition and sales teams.
  • Writing and producing client communications and marketing materials, ensuring appropriate business, technical, legal and compliance approvals. Initiating ideas and strategies to maximise engagement with our target audiences via all channels.
  • Providing support to business stakeholders to produce quarterly reporting, ensuring appropriate technical, legal and compliance approvals as required.
  • Creating and implementing marketing campaigns, to increase proposition awareness and consideration and maximise engagement with our target audiences via all channels, establishing KPIs and analysing metrics, using the insight to refine our messaging andapproach.
  • Working with the distribution team to develop compelling campaign themes to address key opportunities in the market and against competitors
  • Supporting the distribution team to respond to requests for information, building a database of information for due diligence requests and providing support to produce presentation materials.
  • Creating and implementing initiatives to gain greater insight of our key clients (and their end clients), using the insight to refine our messaging and approach.
  • Liaising with the fund managers and the thirdparty providers of the Horizon Funds and other external fund managers engaged with The Adviser Centre, to coordinate content, reporting and build strong commercial relationships
  • Support the Investment Marketing Manager in creative development process, utilising the services of internal resources and external agencies where required.
  • Managing and regularly auditing the marketing and product literature inventory and materials library and all digital content
  • Keep to schedule and help with plan on all marketing activities.

The role requires:


  • Strong financial services marketing experience required.
  • Experience in B2B marketing required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation is essential.
  • Solid experience in working with external and internal stakeholders in developing messaging and using data to create marketing content and sales materials.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and markets, and the UK retail multiasset marketplace is required.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel to produce presentations, sales and distribution support, events and campaigns.
  • Creative thinking would be useful.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands concurrently, with a sense of urgency to meet client needs, and a "can do" proactive approach.
  • Strong internal client management skills the ability to take a brief and develop relevant solutions.
  • Independent judgment to determine project guidelines, purpose, followthrough and completion.
  • An ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and experience working with external agencies on PR, content and design.
  • Experience in developing marketing campaigns to drive results would be useful.
  • Experience with Financial Express & Morningstar analytic tools would be a bonus.
  • A good technical understanding of how investment management and the investment market operates (some technical training would be advantageous, e.g. CISI qualification or IMC Certificate).
