Description
The successful applicant will have their own twin bay workshop with 1 x four poster ramp and 1 x 2 post ramp and plenty of specialist equipment, to compliment your own tools, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of commercial vans and wide variety of other company vehicles, preparing vehicles for MOT as well as additional external work for customers and internal project work, as instructed by the workshop manager.
You will need the following:
- Ability to think out of the Box to create solutions.
- Diagnostic Experience
- Air Conditioning Service Experience/Qualification
- A Can Do Work Ethic
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To take instruction from the workshop manager with regards to daily and weekly work plans.
- Servicing and Maintenance of company vehicles as per manufactures specifications.
- Run Diagnostics across all vehicles as and when required.
- Perform Air Conditioning Services
- To maximise work efficiency wherever possible to ensure fair and efficient service and repair work which in turn can then be passed on to our customers.
- To manage the minimisation of any downtime regarding repairs and service work by liaising with the service manager.
- To ensure that job cards are completed in detail on a daily basis and passed back to the service manager for approval.
- To ensure safe work practices at all time.
- To report all damage found or caused immediately to the Service Manager to allow for appropriate action to be taken as quickly as possible.
- To report damaged or faulty workshop equipment immediately to the service manager to allow for appropriate action to be taken as quickly as possible.
- To ensure that time sheets are completed
Daily and handed in to the service manager for approval to ensure they are processed and passed to accounts to ensure that there are no delays to processing payroll. - To follow manufactures service and maintenance schedules
- To attend supplementary courses and training as required by the company
- Ensure the safety of yourself and others around you by adhering to the company's health and safety policies
- You may be required to carry out other duties as and when the needs of the business require it.
- To be polite, professional and courteous to both our customers and fellow staff at all times.
Salary:
£14.00-£15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday

- City & Guilds Automotive (preferred)
