The quality of service is paramount, with any degradation directly impacting our clients and the efficiency of the firm.

The pace ofchange for the technology is fast moving, whilst clients have an ever-changing expectation, meaning the UCC team must continuously revise and adapt its approach.


We are seeking an experienced UCC Team Manager with a drive for continuous service improvement and a solid experience in creating and managing a high-performing team.

Established just over a year ago, the UCC team is responsible for these three primary servicepillars:


  • Realtime communication platforms (MS Teams as primary, along with Webex and Zoom)
  • Workplace technology (AV)
  • Live events (virtual or hybrid events)

The Team Manager will also:

  • Develop and establish a team structure with the required capabilities to deliver operational excellence.
  • Work closely with the Architecture team to ensure the technologies are fit for purpose and meet their needs.
  • Establish a strong relationship with key suppliers and build confidence from stakeholders.
  • Establish good service management practices (incident, change, problem, capacity, risk) within the team.
  • Be responsible for setting and monitoring the operational budget of the UCC services.


The UCC team sits within the wider Technology Infrastructure department and as the Team Manager you will lead it to ensure our lawyers, business teams colleagues, and clients have the best possible experience using the UCC services.


What we're looking for:

  • Experience in managing a global team that delivers complex, realtime UCC services, such as voice, video conferencing, meeting room AVs, and live events.
  • Have experience in supplier management, preferably in a managedservice arrangement.
  • Good working knowledge in a broad range of UCC services such as Teams, and other conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Cisco Webex.
  • Good working knowledge in a range of virtual event platforms and media technologies that can be integrated to produce a quality virtual or hybrid event experience for the audience.
  • Good understanding of the technology ecosystems that support the UCC services, e.g. network, servers, enduser devices, endpoint device.
  • Experience in managing seniorlevel stakeholders.
The role is based at the Linklaters London office with frequent travel to Colchester, Warsaw and international. The firm operates an agile working policy with a hybrid working model available.
