About the team
We are seeking a Support Officer to join our Business and Projects team on a permanent basis. You will be working across Ofqual's Strategy & Markets and Standards, Research & Analysis directorates.


The business and projects are a very busy team who work to support the varied projects across a number of teams including: Risk; Strategy; Research and; Data & Analytics.

In addition, we also carry out general business administration.


_ What will the post holder be doing?_

  • Organising and coordinating meetings, events and communications to ensure these run smoothly and achieve their purpose;
- taking meeting notes/minutes to ensure that discussions, decisions and actions are accurately recorded;
- booking venues and making travel arrangements for external contractors and Ofqual staff;
- working with external suppliers, issuing work specifications and contracts;
- raising purchase requisitions using Oracle software.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Using, maintaining, and developing Ofqual systems and processes to support the delivery of activities within directorates.
  • Producing high quality documents, reports, briefing papers and presentations which are fit for purpose and meet business requirements.
  • Collating, analysing, and presenting information in a variety of formats as required.
  • Carrying out background research as and when required to support the delivery of the directorate's objectives.

Person specification:


Qualifications:


  • BTEC Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent experience gained whilst working in a similar role
