We are looking to recruit a hard working individual to join our Domestic Services Team at Braintree Community Hospital.

The successful post holder will be part of a team working within an integrated Hotel Services department, offering a high quality, flexible and customer focused service.

You will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other related duties to set procedures and standards. You will be required to work as part of a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise the daily duties, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times

Cleaning experience is desirable although full training will be given.


Responsibilities will include general cleaning tasks such as the disposal of refuse, high / low dusting, cleaning sanitary areas, wet mopping, cleaning of patient equipment, making of patient beds, etc.

Staff uniform will be provided.


JOB SUMMARY


To maintain the cleanliness of the Ward/Department environment in accordance with the cleaning schedule identified in Mid Essex Hospital Trust and National Specification for Cleanliness Standards guidelines.


KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Ward/Department Managers

Domestic Supervisor/Zone Leader

All levels of nursing staff

Multidisciplinary team working within ward/department

Infection control team


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Basic Numeracy and ability to read and understand English Language

Good interpersonal skills, able to work in a team environment.

You will need basic numeracy and ability to read and understand English Language and have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment.
