We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, efficient and friendly person to be part of the Administration Team within the Continence Advisory Service.


We are a busy and fast-paced team dealing with all the referrals that come into this Nurse led service from across the county.


The successful applicant will need to have:

  • A good standard of general education which includes English language GCSE, Grade C or above
  • Experience of working in an office environment, including answering a busy telephone system, phoning patients/members of the public
  • IT literacy skills, with demonstrable experience of using SystmOne, Microsoft office or other platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer care, discretion and communication skills are essential as well as a friendly and caring personality.

You should also be able to stay calm under pressure.


The post holder will be based at either Alfreton Primary care Centre or Long Eaton Health Centre with time also spent working from home.

The successful applicant will be able:

To contribute to an efficient and effective administration for the county wide Continence Advisory Service for Derbyshire Community Health Services.

To answer the telephone, direct calls accordingly and take messages.

To listen to voice mail messages & respond accordingly.

To refer patients into the service & book appointments via TPP SystmOne.

To collect, sort and distribute mail.

Printing and photocopying of leaflets, forms and literature.

Printing & sending out appointment request and confirmation letters from tasks via SystmOne.

Attendance at team meetings.

To have a flexible view to working.


To support and comply with all health and safety, fire, infection control policy / procedures / legislation in conjunction with the appropriate department / advisors.
