National Centre for Domestic Violence is the UK's largest organisation helping victims of domestic abuse and violence obtain injunctions against their perpetrators. To date we have helped over 100,000 people change their lives forever and we are looking for dedicated Customer Service Advisors who have a passion to help people join our team.


The position will be based for an initial 3 months in our Guildford offices for training once you have successfully completed the training the role can be a remote position.


The Role:


As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be working for our First Steps Team acting as first point of contact for applicants who want to obtain an injunction against their perpetrator.

Your role will be to help determine if the caller will qualify for an injunction and Legal Aid, if they do not qualify for Legal Aid, you will pass their details to our Pro Bono team who will be able to help them through the next steps of the process.


About You:


  • Experience of working in a customer based environment
  • Patient and compassionate with good listening skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good written skills along with good PC and typing skills
  • To be able to conduct calls swiftly and efficiently


You will be able to maintain composure on calls and be able to deal with difficult situations calmly and professionally always having the applicants best interests in mind.


The working hours for this position are Monday - Friday 1pm - 5pm with a start date of the end of July 2023.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
£11,880.00-£11,889.00 per year
