We're recruiting for a Personal Tax Manager/ Managerto join a fantastic tax boutique and chartered accountancy practice based near West Malling, Kent.

This position would suit a Tax Senior, Supervisor or Manager looking to take on a hands-on position witha fantastic and well-established firm with an excellent reputation You will work in a standalone Tax Manager position with the support of a Partner above you, and a Junior below you.

Our client has been established in the Kent market for a long time.

They are an independent tax planning and business consultancy who provide integrated advice to private clients and their businesses on all aspects of tax planning, business consultancy andfinancial management.

They focus on the planning needs of high-net-worth individuals across owner managers, property investors and international clients.


The successful Personal Manager will be responsible for:

  • The Tax Manager will plan and supervise the preparation of all personal returns together with managing all aspects of personal tax compliance for a portfolio of (200) clients
  • Manage client portfolio to ensure a good quality of service / advice is given to clients
  • Identify planning opportunities for clients
  • Lead weekly planning and scheduling meetings
  • Manage, motivate and supervise support staff
  • Where appropriate review work prepared by other team members
  • Liaise with professional bodies (ICAEW, ACCA, CTA) and suppliers / advisors
  • Ad hoc noncompliance work as required
  • Maintain time records and monitor performance against budget and proposed fees
  • Prepare and conduct presentations/proposals and advice letters to clients, potential clients and staff
  • Write monthly article for website/social media
  • Internal (on the job) training of team members
  • Keep technically up to date
  • To contribute to the firm's practice development

Requirements
The Personal Tax Manager will be:

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA/ ATT Qualified with 3-5+ years' experience working within tax.
  • Able to work successfully with a highly functioning team.
  • An excellent communicator
  • An organised, detailed worker who has a methodical, diligent approach to tax.

Benefits:

- £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
