FINANCE ASSISTANT

We are seeking a finance assistant to join our award-winning international interior design and architectural studio in Weybridge.

Hill House Interiors' Directors, Helen & Jenny are supported by a 30+ strong team of designers and interior architects.

Job Title:
Finance Assistant


Work pattern:
Monday to Friday - hours per day can be flexible

  • A qualification in Accountancy, ideally AAT or qualified by experience
  • Capable of working in a pressured environment with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Computer literate: Proficient in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Excel with a knowledge of Sage 50
  • Good personal presentation
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The job will involve dealing with clients or suppliers, either on a personal basis or over the telephone. The ability to visualise concepts and communicate them to others is also important
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and multi task as it is a fast paced environment
  • Experience with supplier invoice posting & client invoice raising
  • Experience with reconciliations; credit cards, bank
  • Previous experience in a high value client business is preferable
  • Local and commutable to Weybridge
The main duties will include (with full training given):

  • To assist the Finance Manager with all day-to-day finance tasks and administration
  • Owning the credit card reconciliations at month end
  • Sending all supplier invoices to the designers for sign off, posting the approved supplier invoices on Sage
  • Raising client invoices in the absence of the Finance Manager
  • Assisting with answering the office phone in a respectful and professional manner
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with the supplier payment run
  • General finance administration, scanning, filing etc
  • Assisting with procurement for the designers
  • Negotiating supplier discounts
  • To assist with any other assignments or tasks that maybe required
  • Maintaining the high standard of professionalism that is expected of all members of the Hill House team

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 25 per week


Salary:
£30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
