Job Purpose:

Building Safety cases and ensuring conditions the conditions contained within the Building Safety Registration Certificate are complied with
To ensure the Council's portfolio, including housing stock, and corporate property are compliant.
Lead on the development and maintenance of uptodate relevant building safety and compliance policies and procedures.
Lead on ensuring all safety and compliance measures is in place for all social housing properties, commercial properties, and corporately owned buildings.
Ensure that all relevant aspects of Health and Safety legislation and Building Regulations are adhered to in all circumstances relating to buildings within your portfolio, taking into full consideration recommendations in the revised Building Regulatory regime.
To undertake strategic reviews of WLBC approach to compliance management and systems.
Lead on and provide technical and competent person expertise regarding all areas relating to landlord compliance and ensure obligations are met and 100% compliant.

Experience and qualifications:

Professional qualification, or equivalent experience, in a Building or Property related field.
Experience of letting significant contracts and managing and delivering projects within budget and on time.
CIOB building safety training
A relevant Fire Safety qualification accredited by the IFE or IFSM or equivalent.
NEBOSH national certificate in fire safety and risk management or equivalent
