Procurement Assistant - 14 hours per week

£10,323 pa
We have a vacancy for a Procurement Assistant as part of a job share within our busy Procurement team for someone who has the right skills, values, behaviours and attitudes to be the difference which are:

About the role


You'll be assisting the Procurement and Asset Management Team in obtaining cost effective procurement of supplies and services, managing contractor performance and monitoring of servicing programmes and service levels and helping to produce/update Policies and Procedures in the department as required.


You will also:

  • To administer and deal with all gas/electricity/council/water bills Hightown are responsible for are settled and that all queries are resolved in a timely manner. To communicate effectively with the relevant Utility Providers and Debt Collection Agencies to resolve any queries swiftly and effectively. To update the relevant inhouse software with this information
  • To purchase the replacement of office stationery and supplies through our designated suppliers
  • Raise orders and pay invoices relating to office supplies
  • To update the Asset Management Database as required, e.g. with New boiler or Kitchen & Bathroom information
  • To update our Housing Management system with components and utility information and to use the system to resolve queries and raise ad hoc orders as instructed

Who we are looking for

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in an office environment, ideally within a maintenance/ build environment
  • Is able to keep accurate records
  • Has a good knowledge of the housing sector
  • Comfortable using Microsoft packages such as Excel and can pick up the use of different computer systems
  • Is an excellent communicator both written and orally
