This is a great opportunity to become part of our multi-skilled maintenance team based at Europe's largest onshore oilfield at Wytch Farm, Dorset.

The primary focus of this role is to act as the focal point for the ongoing operation, maintenance and reliability of the Wytch Farm Gas Engine Power Generation Facility.


The role is part of the maintenance team that manages the maintenance and operational monitoring of equipment to ensure safe, environmentally sound, reliable and efficient operation of the Wytch Farm production facility.

This is a Monday-Friday role.


Key Responsibilities Include:

Specific to Power Generation Facility:

  • Plan and execute scheduled preventive and emergent corrective and breakdown maintenance activities on the Power Generation Facility including all auxiliary equipment and systems.
  • Carry out day to day checks of engines and auxiliaries
  • Carry out condition monitoring analysis and checks
  • React to unscheduled maintenance and breakdowns
  • Plan routine maintenance both hourly and scheduled (6 monthly to 1 yearly) for Power Generation package including auxiliaries
  • Oversee overhauls and schedule manning for major services
  • Liaise and manage work with PUK technicians, contractors, 3rd parties and OEMs
  • Consult and liaise with OEM technical support as required
  • Optimise and manage spares holding and critical parts including oil
  • Compile and analyse performance and reliability to identify improvement programmes.
  • Investigate and implement system improvements for efficiency and improved availability and reliability.
  • Provide training and development of technicians, specifically with respect to providing knowledge and information to maximise craft utilisation and skills.
  • Provide training and development of area operating crews, specifically with respect to plant operating and basic care requirements.

Other Key Tasks Include:

  • Promote high HSE standards and demonstrate responsibility for the safety of self and others minimising impact on production, and maximising plant availability
  • Employ Perenco Observation Safety Techniques (POST) to report safe and unsafe acts
  • Actively participate in a responsible waste management system
  • Carry out all activities to company standards and procedures
  • Raise relevant permits within the agreed time period
  • Generate new work requests to highlight plant and equipment faults
  • Develop and review operational and maintenance procedures
  • Provide input and assistance for new projects including commissioning work
  • Comply with requirements of MOC for Plant Modifications

Key Requirements Include:

Qualifications:

  • A recognised apprenticeship in relevant Engineering discipline
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering Discipline (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Experience:


  • A sound knowledge of machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical or related industry
  • Broad experience of maintenance and fault finding on mechanical equipment
