Global Procurement Manager


An excellent opportunity for a Global Procurement Manager to join an aerospace and defence manufacturing and support services company, based in Gloucester with a salary up to £60,000.

This fantastic new position has been created thanks to increased projectrequirements and growth within the procurement department.

The Global Procurement Manager leads procurement activities and offers support to the wider supply chain to ensure the best practices are implemented across procurement, and customers receive deliverableson time and on budget.


Responsibilities of the Global Procurement Manager:

  • Helping to ensure that all procurement activities and processes run smoothly and as intended.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, the wider supply chain and the organisation.
  • Assisting in the preparation of contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Contributing to the management of materials and capacity planning, shipping arrangements/logistics and supplier performance.

Person Specification of the Global Procurement Manager:

  • Previous proven experience in a procurement-focused role, and ideally including supply chain management aspects.
  • Customerfocused, with an ability to propose solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and SAP transactions.
  • Solid communication skills, including listening.

Salary:

Up to £60,000


This role will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within purchasing and procurement as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Senior Buyer, or similar.
