DESCRIPTION:

The
Junior Project Controller reports to the Project Controls & Planning Lead.


The
Junior Project Controller is a key member of the project team, working directly with the Lead/Senior Project Controller(s) / Planner to help define the projects objectives and to maintain the projects budget and schedule.

The
Junior Project Controller also provides analysis work against a variety of metrics and will recommend actions to improve project progress & cost.

This versatile role is inclusive of all aspects of project control management including:
planning, project management, reporting, cost control and client relationship management.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES:


  • Responsible for report preparation and collation of data
  • To review reports received from external subcontractors and to highlight key points and issues to Senior Project Controller / Project Manager
  • To develop internal reports to facilitate effective project control and monitoring of key metrics
  • Provide challenge where appropriate to establish consistent quality of information.
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly cycle reporting requirements.
  • To provide a breakdown of current project financial position to the Senior / Lead Controller
  • Quality control and checking of all documentation prior to issue

EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:


  • Must be driven to build effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders
  • Exceptional ability to stay organized and handle multiple action items required.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project progress reports is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams required.
  • Previous P6 experience preferred but not essential as training can be provided.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:


  • Have effective communication skills and understanding of the corporate culture with an ability to influence key stakeholders and decision makers across USNC
  • Exceptional communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in computer skills and possess the ability to effectively use various analytical, design, project management, and presentation computer programs
  • Possess exceptional planning and time management skills
  • Experience reviewing cost based reports preferred
  • Proficiency in report preparation and review
  • Have excellent verbal, written communication, and time management skills
  • Work with other departments to increase overall strength of the group and company
  • Possess good verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with others

WORK CONDITIONS:


  • Normal duties will be a split of office based and home working, where both will involve constant interaction with other employees and/or subcontractor employees.
  • Due to the company HQ being based in Seattle, there may a requirement for work after normal UK working hours. These instances would be rare and for short periods only.
  • Occasional local travel is required as needed
  • Must be able to work in generally accepted office and field environments.
  • Must have the resources to work successfully from home
