Scholars School System is a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) having campuses across the United Kingdom, is looking for an
Education Consultant for the Birmingham branch.

Scholars School System is a national independent higher education provider, offering world class education.

Taught programmes, ranging from Foundation Year through to Level 7, delivered in partnership with institutions such as Leeds Trinity University.

Over 5000 (UK and EU) learners have successfully completed their learning journey in the last five years with the current student population is over 3000.


The post holder will liaise closely with the retention team for safeguarding and will join a passionate team of staff working within this diverse, community College & University Centre based in the centre of Birmingham.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Act as a key representative of the business to all students and families alike, providing informed professional and courteous responses to external and internal enquiries. Be mindful of ensuring positive business outcomes for SSS Education at all times in terms of both reputation, and also profitability.
  • Maintain and update student database.
  • Build effective professional relationships internally within the business, as well as with commercial partners and external stakeholders.
  • File and record all documents provided by students to support absences and leave requests.
  • Create relevant critical education pathways for tutors to follow with students. Ensure the pathways are documented and communicated appropriately.
  • Investigate all absences of students and ensure retention procedure is adhered to.
  • Identify and monitor all 'at risk' students and instigate early interventions to support a resolution for irregular attendance.
  • To participate in extra curriculum duties as and when necessary for the benefit of supporting students and college events.
  • To liaise with tutors, accordingly, provide training and guidance if necessary.
  • Liaise with Academic Officers to support students.
  • To action attendance spreadsheets and analyse data for report findings.
  • Provide support to students throughout their studies.
  • Produce letters as per student and staff request.
  • Deal with student complaints.
  • Collect and maintain the daily attendance registers and input details into database.
  • Assist with administration duties as and when required.
  • To perform ad hoc duties as and when necessary.
  • Remain committed to selfimprovement by conducting selfappraisals after all relevant external meetings, and assess strengths and weaknesses and address these accordingly. Demonstrate a commitment to improvement by maintaining and developing skills in line with emerging organisational needs.
  • To understand safeguarding and prevent policies.
  • To participate in continuing professional development when it is necessary for the job role.
  • To work in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Support the Director of Admissions with all matters in relation to student welfare, including academic and attendance monitoring
  • Help improve communication, advice and guidance between school, home, external agencies and the local community
  • Manage whole school careers provision including work experience across the school and sixth form
  • Supporting with Enterprise and Enrichment days throughout the Academic Year
  • Provide careers advice in preparation for curriculum choices for mature students and maintaining a 100% attendance rate in line with the OFS perspective.
  • Develop robust relationships with Universities, FE Colleges, vocational institutions and the business community, including the Chamber of Commerce, the CBI and local employment agencies to identify opportunities in the job market, work experience, apprenticeships and internships
  • Develop, wideranging and engaging enrichment interventions for students.

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant retention discipline (Essential).
  • Experience in similar job role.
