We are seeking a Head of Bursary Welfare

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 39 weeks per year


Salary:
Dependent on experience

A vacancy has arisen for a Head of Bursary Welfare to join our Pastoral team.

The Head of Bursary Welfare will be responsible for preparing full and substantial bursary pupils for their transition to the College, for overseeing their welfare when at the College, and for supporting them and their pastoral carers as necessary.

The Head of Bursary Welfare is the College's expert on the pastoral needs of bursary pupil; s/he is also the point of reference for other staff involved in supporting these pupils.


Marlborough College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).


The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the College is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
