About The Role

  • Salary £13.50 per hour / £28,080.00 per annum
  • Working 40 hours per week

What will I be doing?


You will carry out the operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors.


The role will involve:


  • To ensure the safe and efficient operation of fixed machinery, such as bailing machines.
  • To direct customer's vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with offloading as required.
  • To ensure the site is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • To assist Production staff with their duties during end of shift cleanups and plant downtime.
  • Contributing to lean and 5's activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
  • To work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and costeffective operation.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

What are the requirements?

  • A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
  • A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience within the waste industry or other highvolume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
