An opportunity has arisen at our Darlington site for an Internal Sales Coordinator to join our customer services team.

The primary purpose of the role is to be responsible for the day to day management of customer accounts and to deliver the highest level of customer service, response and professionalism.

Working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday and reporting to the Customer Services Supervisor, the main duties of the role are to:

  • Be the main point of contact for customers and be fully responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day account management including material ordering.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new products.
  • Working alongside external sales reps to achieve customer goals.
  • Day to day customer account management.
  • Provide same day, responsive feedback to any client daily requests.
  • Ensure customer orders and deliveries are fulfilled ontime and infull.
  • Management of paper ordering in line with Company procurement strategy.
  • Preparation of regular demand forecasts for materials/supplies.
  • Coordinate customer delivery requirements working alongside key departments.
  • Maintaining and managing stock levels in line with customer agreements.
  • Contribute to departmental and crossfunctional continuous improvement projects.
  • Comply with the Company's Health & Safety, Hygiene and Environmental standards/procedures.
  • Provide full personal support to the behavioural safety campaign requirements.
  • Be educated to a minimum of 'A' level standard.
  • Have experience of working in a customer service/internal sales environment.


  • Be computer Literate

  • Business Systems, Web Based Applications and Microsoft Packages including Excel.
  • Have good oral/written communication skills and strong numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to maintain high standards when working under pressure or to deadlines.
  • Be able to make sound judgements and decisions in a professional manner.
  • Have excellent problem solving skills.
  • Be flexible and able to work on own initiative.
  • Be a good team player.
  • Procurement experience is desirable.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
