Regional Competency Adviser

Location:
UK based / National/Nottingham/Solihull/Cirencester


The main purpose of this role is to support the Regional Competency Officers with oversight of the delivery of the SJP Training and Competency (T&C) scheme, undertaking detailed analysis of the Partner risk and T&C data, providing consultancy to the Field Management Teams in respect of further action or investigations required.


You will ensure Partner competence is assessed on a regular and frequent basis and ensure appropriate action is taken on risk exceptions.


What you'll be doing:


  • Undertaking detailed analysis of the monthly data, highlighting exceptions through to the Supervision Managers, including a review of the detailed backup data, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) trends and previous Supervisor actions/comments to ensure only true exceptions are raised.
  • Supporting the Regional Competency Officer with their monthly Supervision meetings; preparing the MI around Partner Supervision and Evidence of Competence
  • Using knowledge of the SJP T&C scheme to be able to identify and communicate key areas for the Supervision Management Team to take forward for discussion and resolution with Partners.
  • Ensuring that within each Location, key risks are managed appropriately with independent challenge provided, where necessary and that the action taken is appropriate and effective.
  • Support the T&C Team in providing independent oversight to ensure relevant Partner supervision and development is undertaken.
  • Using Salesforce, the company CRM, to analyze and report data with the use of dashboards. Undertake modules on Trailhead, the Salesforce learning platform, to develop the necessary skills.

We are looking for a strong communicator, the ability to build strong working relationships and the following:

  • Knowledge of the Financial Service industry and ideally an understanding of the FCA T&C Scheme rules and guidance.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret various forms of MI and identify exceptions to be taken forward.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to converse face to face and in groups and the diplomacy to discuss sensitive and personal information regarding Partners welfare and financial situation.
  • Ability to adapt communication style and build relationships at a variety of levels, including Business Consultants, Management, Divisional Directors and Supervision Leads.
