Job Summary:

Functions in our group include safety, project field management, construction management, quality control, start up and decommissioning and field engineering.

Our Construction group is working on an EpCM Waste-to-Energy project in the UK.

We are seeking a Subcontracts Representative who will be responsible for basic subcontract development and/or administration in support of project requirements within the Subcontracts Group.


Key Responsibilities:


General:

  • Assigned basic subcontracts and develops an understanding of the other operations within Estimating, Engineering and their interface functions with the Subcontracts Department.
  • Files appropriate record documents and follows filing rules.

Subcontract Development Responsibilites (if assigned):

  • Prepares subcontract related documents and bidders list for assigned subcontracts.
  • Prepares and issues Requests for Proposals and supports the bidding process.
  • Coordinates the bid evaluation process through the distribution of proposals, preparation of the commercial portion of the bid tabulation, and collaboration with estimating, construction, engineering, and other functions regarding evaluations.
  • Coordinates the negotiation process, which may include the preparation of commercial negotiation positions and the scheduling / coordination of the negotiation meetings with bidders and the project team.
  • Coordinates the award and conforming process.
  • Ensures subcontractor compliance with Prequalification requirements

Subcontract Administration Responsibilities (if assigned):

  • Coordinate kick off and progress meetings; draft/issue meeting minutes
  • Draft/log formal correspondence for assigned subcontracs
  • Perform Change Management duties for assigned subcontracts
  • Review and process invoices
  • Closeout assigned subcontracts

    Minimum Qualifications:
No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • High school diploma preferred.
  • BA or BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Business is a plus,
  • Technical or related field preferred.
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
