The Opportunity

Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support.

The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024.

When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

The Sizewell C Employment Affairs Unit (EAU) is a fundamental part of delivering the Sizewell C (SZC) construction project and is the focal point as to where the co-ordination, integration and delivery of our construction workforce strategy and industrial relations will be implemented and managed.

We currently have an amazing opportunity for a Workforce Mobilisation Assurance Specialist who will report in to and support the Workforce Mobilisation Manager in the management and delivery of workforce governance and compliance requirements in support of SZC regulatory obligations, Development Consent Order (DCO), People Requirements and Inclusion, Diversity, Employment & Skills Plans (IDESP's).

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home.

We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

The Role

:

As the Workforce Mobilisation Assurance Specialist, you will be required to develop relationships, approaches and solutions that are suited to a major and regulated infrastructure project.

This includes stakeholder management, including Tier 1 contract partners, Licencing, and Regulators.

You'll Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the SZC's interests and responsibilities related to project workforce are robust and compliant utilising processes and procedures.

You'll support the process of assurance with regards to the workforce within the EAU and assist with mobilising and demobilising via WIMS (Workforce Information Management System) and other supporting company systems and procedures.

You will also work inclusively across the Employment Affairs Unit (EAU), working alongside their appropriate counterparts in Workforce Mobilisation, Human Resource Business Partners, Civils Works programme and Tier1 contracting partners to ensure delivery of plans in a collaborative and co-ordinated fashion in support of the people related commitments and expectations of the SZC project.

The Skills

:

You'll bring your proven understanding of how to effectively manage work scopes, prioritising, scheduling, and planning with previous experience in processes and procedures and supporting implementation within a project environment.

Ideally, you'll be capable of facilitation between contractor partners and key stakeholders, have strong relationship building skills in a dynamic and complex project environment, creating relationships of support and challenge.

Previous experience of supporting and assuring a workforce within a matrix organisation would be beneficial but not essential.

Good working ability to manage and be reactive in an ever changing environment is essential.

If that all sounds like you, then we'd love to hear from you A full job description is available on request.
