Overview:


Buckinghamshire Safeguarding Partnership business unit is a small but very busy team which supports the work of Safeguarding Children Partnership and the Safeguarding Adult Board.

From the sub groups to websites, social media to conferences we work in a variety of ways to support our partner agencies to respectfully challenge and promote safeguarding practice.


Buckinghamshire Council have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Partnership Administration Officer to provide non-routine and complex information and business support services to the Buckinghamshire Safeguarding Children Partnership and the Buckinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board.

About the role:


The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Plan, organise and deliver own work to provide effective information and business support.
  • Provide the main point of contact the Buckinghamshire Safeguarding Children Partnership and the Buckinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board, acting as a filter for issues/problems and an escalation point for nonroutine issues.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support for processes and procedures within area of responsibility
  • Identify and organise information for inclusion in reports/documents / recommendations or to provide answers to related queries.
  • Process, analyse and interpret specialist information, using the appropriate systems. Identify issues and make recommendations on findings.
  • Create documents, reports, correspondence and other materials, as required.
  • Organise and support meetings and events, including producing a record from meetings and chasing actions.
  • Manage diaries and travel arrangements as required.
  • Maintain and improve operational efficiency and quality of services provided, through recommending improvements in procedures/ process. Support the delivery of improvements in own area.
  • Support projects as part of a project team. May coordinate activities within small projects.
  • Monitor and process financial or budgetary information, including producing regular reports on financial activity.
  • Quality check documents, records, recommendations and presentations

About you:

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • To be educated to A level/HNC standard or equivalent
  • Authoritative knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, processes, systems, policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of other areas of the authority relevant to the service
  • Good planning and organisational skills, with proven ability to prioritise workloads, monitor and evaluate work, to ensure deadlines are achieved
  • Numerate and accurate with good attention to detail
  • Proven initiative and judgement to identify and resolve problems
