Description
The sleep service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS trust provides comprehensive diagnostic testing for a range respiratory and non-respiratory sleep disorders as well as the provision and follow-up of patients on CPAP and NIV.
The post-holder will play a key role in performing routine diagnostic tests and maintaining diagnostic equipment in sleep and lung function.
They will be primarily based at the Sleep Centre at Charing Cross hospital setting up, monitoring and downloading sleep studies.
They will also support our patients on home CPAP providing them with replacement parts and supporting with routine queries under direction of a Senior Physiologist.
There will also be opportunities to gain experience in lung function performing basic diagnosic assessment (Spiromery and FENO) and assisting with more complex testing.
To support patients undergoing overnight sleep studiesTo perform routine diagnostic tests in sleep and lung function under supervision
To assist in the efficient delivery of the CPAP follow-up service by ensuring timely and accurate recording of observations
To provide support to patients as required during their time in the department
To promote good practice in control of infection
